Athena is one of the best women’s wrestlers in the world and in very high demand. I believe that she still lives in the Houston area as well. There is only one spot on the card, if that most of the time, for the women. Many promoters simply throw any two girls out there, and don’t worry about it. The major issue is that there aren’t enough female wrestlers in the area training though, coming up. NECW does the best job of bringing in different girls, as well as utilizing the women in the area, and doing so in a meaningful way, at least in my opinion anyway. They previously ran, and there are rumors they might be brought back, standalone women’s shows, under the World Women’s Wrestling banner. At Bouts for the Scouts though, you will get to see the debut of a Canadian named Mileena. She has worked alongside Jeremy Prophet in the past up there.
