“I compare the wrestling business today (which is basically the WWE) vs the business of the 70’s and 80’s and I can compare it to this. What if you loved basketball. You loved the NBA and the classic series between the Celtics and Lakers. Magic vs Bird. You loved The Bulls and the great run Jordan and Pippin had. Imagine if during the 90’s the guy who owned The Harlem Globe Trotters, through a series of poaching top talent, buying TV time and making deals with arenas put ALL of the NBA teams out of business and the league folded. Now in 2014 if you want to watch basketball you have to go and see the Harlem Globe Trotters. How would you feel about that? What if it was your dream to play in the NBA. Instead of there being hundreds of spots on the 30 plus teams now there are a handful of spots to get performing for the Globe Trotters.”- Mike Howell
