Beyond Wrestling
Fete Finale
December 27, 2015
Fete Music
Providence, RI USA

Promoter: Drew Cordeiro (Denver Colorado)
Ring Announcer: Rich Palladino
Referees: Adam West, Manny Souza, Kevin Quinn

The final Beyond Wrestling event at Fete Music.  We’ve had the pleasure of attending 5 shows at Fete, each being top quality.  We hope that the loss of this venue does not slow down the momentum of the promotion.  TWP is optimistic given the dedication of the workers, fans, and promotion team to the idea of Beyond Wrestling.

Lots of wrestlers were seen at this event, which shows the respect in which Beyond Wrestling is held by those in the industry. Da Hoodz, Kool People, Helen Vale, and Veda Scott were sighted in the crowd.

1. Fans Bring The Weapons: Matt Tremont v. Sugar Dunkerton.  W. Tremont

The staff collected the weapons ahead of time and placed them at ringside. Sugar D. opened a Christmas present full of tacks and quickly put Tremont into the pile face first.  Blood came within seconds of the bell. Tremont Superplexed Sugar onto the same tacks.  Sugar tried to end things with the help of a full size Christmas tree but Mr. Tremont had the best of it and put Sugar into the tree, finishing him with a Death Valley Driver (assisted by decorative barbed wire in the tree).

Crusade For Change came up on the VIP stage and proclaimed themselves the greatest faction in Beyond history.  They were pissed that they were not on the card for the finale.  TJ Marconi shot his big mouth off as well as Carter. Larry Legend was unable to restrain himself and brought his team into the ring to counter. A bit of a scuffle broke out ending with CFC leaving the room.  Feud set for 2016.

2. Mystery Partner Tag Team Match: Drew Gulak & Matt Riddle v. Chuck O’Neil & Eric Spicely.  W. – Gulak & Riddle

Things happened quickly in this match and that’s probably due to the influence of MMA style of 3 of the antagonists.  Riddle managed to pin O’Neil during the confusion of the ref trying to restore order after Mr. O’Neil busted open Riddle’s face.

3. TFT4 Rematch: David Starr v. Brian Fury.  W. – Fury

Starr appeared to knock a tooth (or at least a dental fixture) out of Fury’s mouth early on.  Chants of “You Sick F**K” came from the crowd.  Fury almost got a submission with a nasty Boston Crab but Starr somehow escaped.  The second crab was applied right after a killer power bomb. This time Starr tapped. Despite bitterness, Starr shook Fury’s hand post match.

4. Strong Style Showdown: Da Hit Squad (Monsta Mack & Mafia) v. The Strong Style Thugs (Low Ki & Homicide). DQ

The match was an interesting meeting of different tag team styles and was fairly even until that jerk Pinkie Sanchez pulled Low Ki off the top rope and ruined everything. Sanchez tried to get his faction to attack both teams but they wisely held back. Pinkie was brutalized by all four men, ultimately thrown over the top rope by Da Hit Squad.

5. Pick Your Poison Match 1: Joey Janela v. Sami Callihan. W. – Callihan

“The Next Big Thing” had his hands more than full with an aggressive Sami Callihan.  Janela used most of the tricks in his formidable arsenal but he just couldn’t get through.  Callihan ended things with a leg stretch which forced The Bad Boy to tap. JT Dunn capitalized and ran in and attacked Janela.  His partner Chris Hero intervened and an enraged Dunn attacked him as well.  This tussle opened match 6.

6.  Pick Your Poison Match 2: Chris Hero v. JT Dunn. W. – Hero

This was weird given their partner status but both men brutalized the other. Dunn survived a pile driver and then paid a price for his earlier rash behavior when Janela snuck in and ruined his spot off the top rope. Hero did something we’ve never seen: a pile driver from the second rope. This time Dunn did not escape. Pin for Hero. Dunn’s condition is unknown at the time of this posting.

7. Dream Match: Donovan Dijak v. Tomasso Ciampa. W – Dijak

Ciampa finished Dijak in fewer than 30 seconds with a well placed knee to the face. Referee Quinn called a pin but the outside referee exposed a foreign object in Ciampa’s kneepad.  Quinn reversed the decision.  Dijak requested that the match continue and his wish was granted.  Ciampa survived two Dijak torture racks which shows he is made of steel.  Dijak did an amazing Moonsault over the top rope with 275 pounds crashing onto Ciampa on the concrete floor.  Dijak finished Ciampa with a power bomb with knees, resulting in a pin.

8. The Final Encounter: Chris Dickinson v. Kimber Lee. W. – Dickinson

The match began with Kimber Lee diving off the balcony onto Dickinson while he made his entrance.

Let’s first consider the significance of a legitimate inter-gender match as the main event.  How far the female and inter-gender aspects of the sport have come.  This is in no small part creditable to Kimber Lee and Chris Dickinson. These two have advanced the sport appreciably and this match was the final declaration of this phenomenon.

Lee and Dickinson put on an incredibly sadistic, super high energy match featuring the infamous Pazuzu Bomb, dives, chokes, slaps, and all kinds of scientific holds bordering on torture.  Dickinson prevailed using Lee’s own signature Alligator Clutch.

The antagonists shook hands and hugged in a show of respect that was just right for the Fete Finale. Then Dickinson was Dickinson, and kicked Lee in the face.  He was about to do more damage when Dijak intervened. Pinkie Sanchez entered the fray in his Devil mask, attacking Dijak. The mask was removed and it turned out to be Sami Callihan. Callihan and Dickinson announced the restoration of the US Death Machine.
