(Videos will be available Monday 11 Jan. after 10:00 p.m. EST on our YouTube Channel)

Match 1. Buck Nasty vs. “The Clinic” Chris James.  W – Nasty

Nasty is acknowledged as undefeated and was given a worthy opponent for a change in Chris James.  Surprisingly, The Clinic never really got traction and fell victim in a short time to second rope splash that knocked the wind right out of him, followed by a Nasty pin.

The poor guy had to give his new shirt to Joe The Trash Man for sanitary disposal after Buck Nasty blew his nose into it and used it to wipe his sweat and parts of his body best left unmentioned. Eeew.

Match 2. Chris Matrix v. G.A. West.  W – West

West & The Doctor. Image: The Professor

West & The Doctor. Image: The Professor

Two evenly matched top competitors gave us an exciting technical match until as expected it was distorted by the interference of Scott Ledeur. Ozone capitalized on this as did Mr. West for the win.  Matrix needs a second as long as Scott is on the card. Matrix was poised on the top turnbuckle to do his famous shooting star to finish off a prostrate West when Ledeur knocked him to the ground and threw him back in the ring.  West revived and covered for the cheap win. Doctor Ozone filibustered the displeased fans in an attempt at justification. Matrix has to regroup and examine his strategy for dealing with Five Star.

Match 3. Nick Night & Tyler Nitro v. Devin Baker & Zack Ramos. W – Night & Nitro (+ Baker & Ramos v. Men at Work – W. Men at Work)

It appears that Night and young Nitro are now a regular team in pursuit of Night’s old title that he held with Flex Damon as part of “Eternity”.  (Eternity was shorter than predicted). Baker and Ramos are loud mouth punks who have some skill but no discipline. The only way they would have won was with luck and luck was with Nitro and Night this evening.

Poor sport Ramos got on mic and blamed Men at Work for the loss.  This led to an impromptu match between the purple boys and the sanitation workers. Trash Men clean the place of refuse in short order.

Match 4.  Benny Blanco vs. Richie Rich. W – Blanco

Blanco said something weird to Rich about being his being Puerto Rican. Rich asked what he was talking about and Blanco kept ranting like a lunatic. This seemed to knock Rich off his game a bit and Blanco managed to get the best of him, finishing with a second rope moonsault for the pin. Bad luck for Rich who could just as easily won this match.

Match 5. Sensational Scott Levesque v. Dan Terry.  W – Levesque

The Professor asked Mr. Blackheart how he managed to get so many luminaries to come to Woonsocket. (He was coy in his non-answer). The Premiere wrestler in New England engaged The Fittest Man in The World in a classic example of technical wrestling that would have fit right in to Madison Square Garden or The Tokyo Dome. No hot dogging or cheap moves, just mat and technical wrestling at its finest. Levesque pulled out a win by allegedly grabbing Terry’s tights.

Match 6. Alex Borden v. Johnny Campbell.  W – Borden

Young Campbell had half a section filled with his fans and it may have inspired some hubris on his part.  He had Borden dominated but Borden kept focus and ended up embarrassing Campbell in front of his people by forcing a submission. Borden is improving as he has more matches. He has potential. We’ve only seen Campbell twice so we will reserve our opinion on his prospects.

Match 7. Scott Ledeur vs. Cargill Vinton.  W – Vinton

Ledeur may have been hit in the head recently. He appeared to think that Vinton was Chris Matrix and had an ongoing dialogue with his ex-partner throughout the match. When Vinton would use a slick move on him, Ledeur kept asking “Matrix where did you learn that?”.  Very weird.  Mr. Vinton is very much back in the mix, looking fit and as skilled as ever.  Ledeur is in the best shape we’ve seen him in and his sadism is front and center.  Turnabout is fair play.  Matrix sent Ledeur flying into Vinton who finished him with a deadly neck breaker.

Match 8.  The Middlesex Express (Steven Lust & Steven Broad) vs. Brian Partington & Robbie The Giant. W – The Middlesex Express

The Giant had no partner and chose Referee Partington to join him. Despite dismissal by Broad and Lust, the men worked well together. Partington is relatively new as a wrestler and was able to contribute and hold his own. Robbie’s international stardom and his attendant skill was not enough to overcome The Middlesex Express, who are in the zone as a team. TME managed to throw The Giant out of the ring and when he was indisposed they double teamed Partington for the pin.

Match 9.  Todd Harris (with Micky O’Shea) v. Jack Krueger v. Tim Lennox. W – Krueger

Harris paid Lennox an undisclosed fee to gang up on the eccentric Jack Krueger. Menacing bodyguard Micky O’Shea added to Harris’ arsenal. Krueger may be a bit nuts but his focus and discipline prevailed. We wonder what would have transpired had rising star Lennox been free to compete for himself.

Match 10. Da Hoodz (Davey Cash & Kris Pyro) v. Kool People (DJ AC & Sammy Deleon). W – Da Hoodz

Cash Brutalizes. Image: The Professor

Cash Brutalizes. Image: The Professor

Da Hoodz have taken a personal interest in squashing the aspirations of SPW’s newest young tag team.  AC and Deleon have shot their mouths off and now will have to pay for it. If they survive, perhaps they will come out of this rivalry having learned from the legendary team. Pyro and Cash are so skilled, so brutal, that this process is hard to watch. AC and Sammy can be proud. They have courage bordering on the suicidal. They were far from defenseless but any result other than Da Hoodz wiping them out was implausible. Some in the crowd claimed that a black jack was used by Pyro but The Professor saw no evidence of anything other than a clean beat down.
