Match 1. Simply God’s Best G.A. West vs. Steven Lust.  W – West

The Fellowship are going to have to start being concerned about The Middlesex Express as evidenced by Steven Lust’s strong showing in this contest. Lust could have won at multiple points in the match but West managed to slam the Lowell native on his face and roll him over for a pin. Lust claimed West pulled his tights but that was not seen by this reporter.

Match 2. Chris Matrix v. Todd Harris.  W – Matrix

Harris appeared without the aid of his hulking bodyguard Micky O’Shea. The youth informed the fans that he suspended Mr. O’Shea, presumably as a cover for his loss last week to Matrix’ ex-partner Scott Ledeur. Harris is getting better each month but he’s still not at the level of Chris Matrix. Harris gave a good match but Matrix got it done in the end (without Ledeur’s interference).

Match 3. Scott Ledeur & Johnny Campbell v. Brian Partington & Robbie The Giant Araujo. W – Partington & Araujo

International star Araujo has taken new talent Partington under his wing to great effect. This team is doing well and are destined to be a big factor in New England. Ledeur and Campbell seemed an odd match. Ledeur has a deranged fixation with ex-partner Matrix and Campbell is a rookie. They never seemed to gel in this match.

Match 4.  Cargill Vinton vs. “Dangerous” Daniel Evans. W – Evans

It turns out that Evans is actually dangerous.  In a shocker, he dominated the former champion, ending things with a clean pin on a visually impaired Vinton. The kid has something, which should be evident if for nothing else than Rich Bass’ judgement in adding him to The Cartel. Vinton had to be helped out of the ring.  Not his night, though only a fool would underestimate his ability to come back from this minor setback.

Match 5. Kool People (DJ AC & Sammy Deleon) v. Devin Baker & Zack Ramos.  W – Kool People

The annoying duo from New Bedford return to take on one of the newer tag team forces, Kool People. Sammy and AC are working well together as they climb the ladder with the titles in mind. Baker and Ramos have talent but their rough edges show they have a ways to go in terms of ring maturity. Kool People rack up a decent win.

Match 6. Nicholas Night v. Richie Rich (with Superstar Shawn Candido).  W – Night

Veteran champion Nicholas Night is making life miserable for Candido and Rich. He embarrassed them tonight in singles competition. Rich’s claim of hair pulling was not persuasive to referee Belair. The worst moment for the duo was when Night threw Rich into Candido, knocking him off the apron onto the cement, and then rolled Richie up for a pin.

Match 7. Triple Threat: Rev. Redemption v. Rob The Trash Man Roberts v. Ed Smith.  W – Redemption

The office picked a particularly cruel match for Ed Smith’s debut (we presume having not seen him in-ring).  Redemption and Roberts beat the living tar out of the youth, despite his magnanimous gesture of offering The Reverend a Valentine’s Day gift before the match. Once Roberts had delivered his own brand of hardcore punishment to the kid, Redemption physically removed the trash man from the ring and commenced to do backward splashes (3 or 4) on the prostrate Smith while taunting commissioner Rocha and Sgt. Muldoon who were trying to get him to stop. Let’s hope Mr. Smith gets out of Mass General soon and can recommence his nascent wrestling career.

Match 8.  Main Event: Superstar Shawn Candido (Champion, with Richie Rich) v. Tyler Nitro. W – Candido

Another dubious decision by the office was giving someone so green a title shot at Candido. Nitro is a talent and has had some good matches in SPW but this was really cruel. Mr. Candido and Mr. Rich humiliated the lad, who hopefully will not make this mistake again. Nick Night, backed up by Sgt. Muldoon, challenged the veterans to a tag match with himself and Nitro in Woonsocket on March 11 but Candido declined because Rich has a hairdressing appointment on that date. If the champ says it, it’s gotta be true.
