Match 1. Carlos v. R. L. Lane. W – Carlos

Mr. Lane makes his SPW debut facing 2016 Rookie of The Year Carlos. Carlos has paid his dues and earned a well-deserved victory. Lane has some kind of hypnotic power in which he can remotely choke and manipulate people from several feet away. Despite this advantage, and being dropped on his face and receiving standard and side back breakers, Carlos stayed focused and rolled up Lane for the pin.

Match 2. Diabolical Scott Ledeur (with Annabelle) v. Chris Matrix.  W – Matrix (DQ)

An emotionally troubled Scott Ledeur blames his former best friend for all of his problems. These two evenly matched pillars of Showcase had it out once again until the match was ruined by the interference of Chris Cruise, who has it in for Matrix. The fans want to see a definitive resolution to the Matrix/Ledeur conflict and were cheated out of it by the man from New Bedford. This isn’t over.

Match 3. Foxy (Amanda Fox) v. Alisha. Special referee Delilah. W – Alisha

The feud continues. Foxy puts on a wrestling clinic and provides rookie Alisha with free training. A special referee once again causes problems as Foxy loses the match she had nearly won while berating Delilah. Alisha capitalizes by rolling her up from behind for the pin.

Match 4. Kool People (Sammy Deleon & DJ AC) v. The Middlesex Express (Steven Lust & Steven Broad). W – The Middlesex Express

Match of the night. This started out as a Team Number One bragging spot after which the champions were to take on The Kool People. As Sammy and AC entered, The Middlesex Express came in with a well executed ambush. Team Number One had a nice laugh and left the ring area for a well-deserved break. A sanctioned match ensued in which TME demolished the youngsters. Kool People are a strong team who work all over the place but the hottest team in New England right now is The Middlesex Express.  Broad and Lust can basically do whatever they want, they are that good. Mr. Broad put Sammy out of his misery with a merciful pin. You have to see the tape.

The Elite & The Entitled Face Turn (Maybe)

Malik Logan and Todd Harris claim to be changed men. They have the backing of Rob The Trash Man but The Professor is skeptical. So are many of the fans. We’ll see if these young men are on the level as 2017 unfolds.

Match 5. Chris Cruise v. The Maniacal Jack Krueger. W – Cruise (DQ)

Krueger is back after a long absence. He and Cruisin’ Chris Cruz were fairly evenly matched. Matrix came out and paid Cruise back for ruining his match with a savage beat down that spilled into the second ring.  Referee Belair gave the match to Cruise as a DQ. What a rip off. We guarantee Krueger will extract severe revenge.

Match 6. Team Number One (Superstar Shawn Candido & Richie Rich with Doctor Ozone) v. The Elite and The Entitled (Todd Harris & Malik Logan). W – The Elite & The Entitled

Team Number One graciously gave the kids a non-title match. They then proceeded to school the youths with the active participation of Doctor Ozone. After a fluke pin of Candido the kids learned a harsh lesson with an extended beat down. In Professional Wrestling, old guys who are still in shape and have decades of experience will always prevail. Harris and Logan have probably 20 to 30 years ahead of them so one day they will be these men. Until then, take an aspirin and respect your elders. Team Number One is number one. There’s a reason.

Match 7.  Heavyweight Championship: Buck Nasty (C) v. Nick Night. W – Inconclusive. Buck Nasty still Champion

An amazing match by two veterans who are both at the very top of their careers. Night came the closest of anyone, pinning the giant champion cleanly. The problem he had was that Referee Belair was unconscious at the time. Sgt. Muldoon did the three count but Promoter Blackheart and Commissioner Rocha came out and said that Muldoon is not a licensed referee and they were unwilling to sanction a title change without a referee’s call. Night protested vigorously and was assured that SPW executives would meet next week to decide on the title. In our opinion, the title should not change. A title change should not have a cloud hanging over it. Our preference would be a rematch. We’ll see what the officials decide.
