SPW December 5, 2014 Showcase Pro Wrestling Training Center, Woonsocket, RI USA
Ring Announcer: Sgt. Muldoon. Referees: Chris McCluskey, Caleb West
Promoter: Chris Blackheart. Commissioner: Frank Rocha
Match 1. The Refflers v. The Convicts. W – The Refflers
The Convicts took advantage of their supervised parole and tried to sneak out into the Woonsocket night. Referee West grabbed the miscreants just before they got to the front door.
The Refflers had little trouble with the inmates. This was really a warm-up match for tomorrow night’s Championship Contest with The Cartel. Will Black Wolf be in The Refflers’ corner? No word. The Refflers are keeping tight-lipped about their title match.
Rumor: The Knuckle Busters are coming to Showcase. The Professor expects The Refflers to address Burly & Bugsy’s disrespectful comments made against Ledeur & Matrix last summer at The Bell Time Club. Time to kick some Lowell punks around and show them that they can’t diss The Future of New England Tag Team Wrestling – The Refflers.
Sgt. Muldoon Lockdown Segment: Black Wolf Derek Andrews
Black Wolf is now officially out of The Cartel. Rich Bass has put a measly (and insulting) $250 bounty on the big man. Mr. Andrews laughed it off. He’s going after Rich Bass for this new indignity, on top of the other slights heaped upon him by the Greasy Manager.
Match 2. Buck Nasty v. Zero. W – Nasty
Buck Nasty entered dragging protegé Roberts by the collar. He made his fellow Deliverance resident sit on the floor and watch his match. All through the contest he heaped condescension on Roberts as he beat the living daylights out of Zero.
Journeyman Zero put in a good effort but he could not overcome the size, skill, experience, and sadism of Mr. Nasty. Nasty had very little trouble beating Zero. The match only lasted as long as it did because Buck Nasty used it as a tutorial for Mr. Roberts.
Nasty finished Zero with a big Splash. In a testament to his character, Buck then Clotheslined Zero over the top rope. After the bell of course.
Sgt. Muldoon Lockdown Segment: Buck Nasty
The frustrated Big Man from Deliverance, Alabama blathered on with his usual list of complaints. He seems stuck on a rung of the ladder and has fallen back into his bad habit of blaming others for his problems. This year it is the unlucky Roberts, who is doing a respectable job as a SPW newcomer. Nasty blamed Roberts for his recent losses to Nick Night and Dr. Williams.
Most fans likely don’t remember his previous ward, “Buck Wild”. (The kid with the electronic cigarette who lasted one or two matches). Nasty was a jerk to him as well. Also don’t forget Buck Nasty’s rejection by The Cartel. This is one angry and frustrated man. This makes him more dangerous. The Professor feels sympathy for the rookies and journeymen the matchmakers will send in against Buck Nasty.
Match 3: “Buckshot” Rob Roberts v. Black Wolf Derek Andrews. W – Andrews
Nasty provoked Black Wolf into this match. Did he do this to humiliate Roberts or to tweak The Wolf’s nose? Perhaps both. The $250 bounty would probably cover 3 months rent on Nasty’s Trailer so that was likely a motivator.
Roberts started early with his favorite Foot Stomps but they were not enough. Black Wolf for some reason allows too many hits to his face (closed fist). Perhaps he’s insensible to that kind of pain.
Black Wolf delivered the loudest Chops ever heard in Professional Wrestling. Somehow Buckshot survived (we assume). The Wolf finished the unfortunate Roberts with a Scoop Slam with his full 400+ pounds landing on the poor man.
Black Wolf laughed in Mr. Nasty’s face, refusing to take further bait and left the room with a smile on his face. It appears to The Professor that Mr. Andrews is confident in his revenge plan against The Cartel.
Sgt. Muldoon Lockdown Segment: Richie Rich
The Sarg introduced NWA and WWF star Richie Rich to the Woonsocket Fans. He’s an active Wrestler and is planning a Showcase appearance in the near future.
Match 4: Challenge Tag Team Match: Dr. Roger Williams & D.J. A.C. v. “The Maniacal” Jack Krueger & Superstar Shawn Candido. W – Krueger & Candido
The Professor warned The D.J. to avoid The Superstar. He didn’t listen. He lost. Best to follow The Wise One’s counsel A.C.
Krueger and Candido make a great team even with The Superstar’s sarcastic taunts about Krueger’s Ritalin. The Professor learned first hand that it is not smart to tease Jack Krueger about medication. Krueger stayed on plan and focused on destroying the Rookie and Journeyman. Roger and A.C. fought a respectable fight but they were outmatched by the two ranked contenders. The Superstar as usual interacted with the younger fans, threatening to ruin their Christmas if they didn’t shut up. The kids were having none of it and gave it right back. Candido can manage to antagonize multiple fans and still focus on his match. This is what 17+ years in the ring does for a heel.
Sgt. Muldoon Lockdown Segment: Benny Blanco
Mr. Blanco explained his thinking around taking a payoff from The Wrestling God. The payoff that ended up being an IOU for a measly $50. He basically admitted that his price is fifty bucks.
Mr. Levesque came out and asserted his credit-worthiness to no avail. The whole thing spun out of control and Commissioner Rocha ended up sanctioning a match between the two veterans despite The Champion’s objections.
Mr. Blanco claims his cigars cost $500 and are from some Casino. Rumor has it he gets his smokes from CVS. 3 for $1.
Match 5: Sensational Scott Levesque (C) v. Benny Blanco. Double DQ
Blanco gave The Wrestling God a heck of a match. Good technical Wrestling between well-matched veteran opponents. Similar end game cheating strategies as well. This is worth a watch. Levesque retains The Gold.
