1. “The Mind Eraser” Mike Graca vs. Chris Pyro. W. – Graca
Graca was honored by being allowed to wrestle a Northeast superstar “The Heat” Chris Pryo. Pyro long ago was a champion at NECW and currently performs solo and with his partner Davey Cash as “Da Hoodz”, one of the top tag teams on the East Coast. The office is giving a deserving kid a push but it seemed unlikely that he could give Pyro, who is at the top of his game, much competition. Amazingly Graca Pile Drives Pyro for the Pin. Is Pyro back in NECW? He made some cryptic comments to the fans as he left and Davey Cash was seen in attendance.

Legends Award Presentation: Violet Flame & Ariel The Portuguese Princess
Sheldon Goldberg presented stars Violet Flame and Ariel with Legends Awards. Mr. Goldberg announced that World Women’s Wrestling would be back as a standalone entity on Nov. 22 in Beverly.

2. Jacob (with Mr. Tony Ulysses) vs. Fox Vinyer. W. – Jacob
Foxx Vinyer appeared without the help of his manager. Big mistake with Mr. Fabulous in the picture. Jacob was able to pass a fork back and forth with his manager and apply it liberally to Mr. Vinyer. This had an impact, though Vinyer did manage to use his own light up glove to put Jacob’s skull into a Kerry Von Erich claw. Vinyer managed in the end to pin the giant Jacob. This is a testament to his skill as Jacob is arguably the strongest man in New England wrestling.

Legends Award Presentation: Darling Damon (with Mr. Fabulous)
Darling Damon was part of Mr. Fabulous’ team “The Crown Jewels” along with “Bad Boy” Jason (Rumble). Mr. Damon generously included Mr. Fabulous and thanked everyone including Jason Rumble. There is plenty of Crown Jewels footage on the Internet. Check it out. Those guys were fantastic.

3. The Glamour Express (Pimp Daddy Mike Paiva & Beautiful Buddy Romano) vs. The Heavy Hitters (Frank Champion & Shady Shay Cash). W. The Glamour Express
It took the stylish ones a bit of time to figure out how to counter the size and weight disadvantage presented by The Heavy Hitters. Champion and Cash are well-known throughout New England and bring skill along with their size. Paiva and Romano took plenty of bumps but in the end their elegance and panache prevailed. Pimp Daddy pinned Cash.

Romano and Paiva grabbed a mic and demanded that Sheldon Goldberg hand them the vacant tag team titles as they are the greatest tag team in NECW history. (This is a plausible claim in The Professor’s opinion). Mr. Goldberg told them they could participate in an upcoming tournament when the office is good and ready. Unfortunately for TGE, Sabotage came out and physically objected to their claim of greatest of all time. Sabotage beat up our style gurus who wisely beat feet out of the gym.

Legends Award Presentation: “Sabotage”(D.C. Dillinger, Eddie Edwards, & Sean Gorman)
Gorman, Edwards, and Dillinger were essential to the founding of NECW and it shows the class of Sheldon Goldberg to honor them as such. (Particularly after some of the comments in Gorman’s book). These men accepted the award with grace. Gorman finally confirmed that he’s done with wrestling. Too bad, he was perhaps the greatest manager in New England history.

4. Juvenile X vs. Nick Farenheight. W. – Juvenile X
Juvenile X came all the way from Munich and was not in the mood to hear stupid comments from some fans who probably couldn’t identify the U.S. on the map let alone Germany. He dispensed with them quickly and then defeated veteran Nick Farenheight. This proved more difficult than the arrogant star expected. X then took to the mic and asked for some real competition.

Be careful what you wish for dude. The Giant Pharaoh came out of nowhere. He didn’t need to lay a hand on the German – Juvenile X fled the scene, perhaps passport in hand. Pharaoh congratulated NECW on 15 great years and then vanished. Will we see him again? This reporter hopes so.

5. WWW Championship: Mistress Belmont (C) vs. Alexxis Nevaeh. No Contest.
Two of the top women in the U.S. once again battle for NECW supremacy when a cadre of WWW upstarts ambushed them part way through what was beginning to be a brutal match. Maximum Mecca, Vanity Vixen, and Nikki Valentine took out both stars.
Mecca had some unkind things to say about the veterans. No doubt the diminutive beginner will live to regret those remarks when she gets in the ring with either veteran. This set up the revival of WWW quite nicely. Perhaps there is now a critical mass of women in the Northeast to permit WWW to really stand on its own.

6. Dan Terry (with Beau Douglas) vs. Beau Crockett. W. – Crockett
The Living Hercules had the privilege of being managed by The Living Legend Beau Douglas. Douglas is not only a (healing) powerhouse – he’s a great wrestling mind. Terry faced Virginian Crockett in what ended up being a tougher match than he expected. It was pretty even when Douglas tried to tie up Crockett from the apron. Terry charged, Crockett dodged, and Douglas went flying to the floor. Crockett managed a nice roll up pin. A humbling lesson for Hercules.

7. TV Championship: “Sensational” Scott Levesque (C) vs. Todo Loco. W. – Todo Loco (New Champion)
Going into the match this reporter thought that if Todo Loco could not get it done this time he should give up his quest for the TV Title. He got it done. Sammi Lane and Toxis were handcuffed to opposite ring posts. Despite Scott sneaking a key from his boot lace and freeing Miss Lane, he lost fair-and-square. Todo Loco does a sweet moonsault for a pin.

8. Jack Maverick & “Pure Talent” Chris Escobar vs. Damien Wayne & Genesis. W. – Maverick & Escobar
Genesis was subjected once again to a serial belly-to-back suplex attack. His poor back. Escobar and Maverick are indeed sadists. This match was high energy with both teams working well together despite the impromptu pairings. Compliments to NECW for bringing in as huge a star as Damien Wayne once again. He and Escobar really added something to this card. In the end Maverick finished things with a pin on his hated enemy Genesis.

9. Heavyweight Championship Triple Threat: Slyck Wagner Brown (C) vs. Brad Hollister vs. “The Masshole” Mike McCarthy. W. – McCarthy (New Champion)
The battle between 3 deserving men had to be concluded and now it is.
SWB attacked both men repeatedly, pile driving McCarthy on the gym floor which put The Masshole out of the action for a time.
Hollister lost it and decided to cruelly go after SWB’s bad knee. Since Slyck has been such a graceless jerk to Hollister, its hard to blame him. He used a chair on SWB multiple times and then wrapped the leg around the ring post which caused SWB to be disqualified as K.O. by Referee Quinn. Hollister at one point lifted both McCarthy and SWB for a double body slam.
Once SWB was gone Hollister and McCarthy went totally hard-core. Bleachers, chairs, blood, insanity. Hollister somehow powered out of a CTFO. McCarthy got him a second time and the former champion tapped.
Mike McCarthy, after a long road which includes winning the 2015 Iron 8, the Television Championship, and facing SWB and Hollister in epic matches, wins the Heavyweight Championship. He’s a complete champion. There’s something to his claim that he has carried the company on his back. He’s the man. By beating such deserving competitors has proven himself so.
