The Moose
Attleboro, MA USA
Ring Announcer: Sgt Muldoon
Referees: Zack Belair, Hugo
Promoter: Chris Blackheart
Commissioner & Timekeeper: Mr. Frank Rocha
Professor’s Note: Another great night at The Moose, the smallest wrestling room in New England. This time the air conditioner was whisper silent. We love The Moose. SPW announcers are now citing each wrestler’s CV of past titles held around the world. This makes things more interesting, credits the workers, and lets fans know the quality of the antagonists.
Match videos will be available after 9:00 p.m EST 23 August at our YouTube channel. We are going to be in South America and Europe for most of the next month on non-wrestling business and won’t be able to cover the next few shows. See you in Plainville on Sept. 20.
New Champion Buck Nasty Shoots His Mouth Off
Buck Nasty was crowned SPW Heavyweight Champion last night and by rights has earned the time in front of the fans to state his views. The majority of fans continue to disapprove of the man from Deliverance but an audible minority showed their support and respect. The always tiresome Papa Nasty has resurfaced with his usual banal comments in support of his son.
Match 1. Trash Man Rob Roberts v. Richie Rich. W – Rich
Roberts is a former hard-core star who has worked very hard the last few years to hone his scientific skills for success in the mainstream of modern wrestling. He’s done well, most recently teaming with Joe The Trash Man after a period of time seconding Buck Nasty.
Mr. Rich is an amazing old school technical wrestler. The unsophisticated fan may see an older guy in a singlet and real wrestling boots and think he’s outdated but nothing could be further from the truth. Rich is one of the best around and his technique is so fluid and elegant that it’s a pleasure to watch. The smarter young wrestlers observe his matches closely.
Rob is getting better all the time (his matches with Richie are a factor in his advancement) but tonight the former Florida State Champion put him to sleep.
Match 2. Diabolical Scott Ledeur v. Carlos Esteban. W – Ledeur (Submission)
Carlos is paying his first year dues in a big way. Being put in the ring with someone as violent as Scott Ledeur may be more than training – it may be a weeding out process. Esteban defended himself to the best of his ability but Ledeur threw him around like a rag doll, finally pulling him down by his neck in what looked like a career-ending snap mare, forcing a quick submission. Luckily Scott’s attendant from the institution was on hand with a bowl of mashed potatoes to lure him out of the room and presumably into a nice quiet space.
Match 3. Midget Match: Brian “Party Time” Partington v. Robbie The Giant. W – Robbie The Giant
The most insane comedy match from this duo yet. Tons of fooling around, making the crowd laugh, and general mayhem. Robbie pinned Brian for the official contest but there was also a pin of Ledeur when he wandered into the ring when the diminutive men threw the referee on his prostate form. A dance show with kids ensued. Great fun for everyone.
Match 4. Todd Harris v. Sammy Deleon (with DJ AC). W – Harris
Todd Harris came out to defend something called “The Harris Country Club Title”. He had a belt, presumably a vanity belt funded by Harris Senior. Sammy was unable to counter Harris’ aggression and cunning.
Harris, despite a painful blow to his face puts a knee to the back of Sammy’s neck and pins him. Harris as we’ve said is getting bigger and stronger every month. He’s on his way.
Match 5. Vinton & Night v. Levesque & Redemption W – Double DQ
The Cartel members could not resist attacking Sgt. Muldoon and his niece Alisha once again. It spoiled the match which otherwise was quite vicious. Alisha was there as backup with a night stick but it all came to a bad end when Bass’ goons made sport of everyone in the contest including the referee. Night & Vinton were upset that the match was called a double DQ, feeling that the bad guys were to blame. Referee Belair is growing in his job and is much more assertive with miscreant wrestlers. Ugly.
Match 6: Heavyweight Championship: Buck Nasty (C) with Papa Nasty v. Chris Matrix. W – Nasty
We expected Chris Matrix to be SPW Champion by now. He got a shot last night but Buck Nasty is holding onto his belt tightly. He was as aggressive and mean as ever. It was too soon (1 day) after Nasty achieved his 10 year quest. Not Matrix’ night.
Nasty puts Matrix down with a neck breaker with his full 300+ pounds. Followed by his trademark top rope splash for a pin. No one can get out of that. Matrix vowed that he’s not done with Buck. We expect him to be back this fall with another shot and perhaps then the title that should be his will be.
