The Boss: Dean “The Beast” Livesly
Professor’s Notes: Our first time seeing NCW at its new home in Dedham. Travel schedules have interfered with our monthly trip to NCW but we hope to be more consistent going forward. The Middlesex Express made it worth the trip.
We apologize for not getting some of the names and gimmicks right. After being away so long there are new faces and storylines of which we are unfamiliar.
1. Dallas McCarthy (with Tim Lennox, Tim Davidson, & Ike) v. The Lumberjake. W – The Lumberjake
McCarthy arrived for this blindfold match with a supposed doctor’s note that certified that he was blind and needed no blindfold. The referee accepted this and the match began with Lumberjake trying to find the pip squeak with audible help from the fans. Despite the creepy kids’ outside interference he did so and easily dispatched the youth with a body slam from 6 feet in the air.
After this match King Ruy Butello entered the ring with protegé Todd Harris and demanded a title shot for the Ox Baker Cup holder. Scott Levesque and his heel squad came in and ganged up on The Lumberjake. The Faces intervened and Mr. Livesly cleared the area.
2. Perry Von Vicious v. Old School Cool Corey Michael. W – Von Vicious
Old School seemed to have momentum when he did a top rope moonsault that just missed. He climbed up to do it again when Von Vicious knocked him down and got him with a German Suplex for the pin.
3. The Underground Anarchy (Tim Lennox, Tim Davidson, Ike) v. Crossfit (Dan Terry and Sweet Scott Ashworth). W – Crossfit
The fittest man in the world informed the crowd that partner Vicallo was at a dental appointment and could not be in Dedham this evening. Sweet Scott Ashworth subbed for Verne. Both opponents rubbed their behinds in Ike’s face as Lennox stood perplexed outside the ring. Terry pinned the little biter after a series of punishing body slams.
4. Isana v. Delmi Exo. W – Exo
We hadn’t seen Delmi Exo for quite some time and were impressed with her growth as a ring technician. The bigger and stronger Isana was unable to put her away. Exo gets the pin.
5. Timmy Thunder v. Frank The Crank. W – Frank
Timmy Thunder wants to be known as Channing Thomas. For some reason this is being denied him. Mr. Livesly stipulated that the loser of this match be known going forward as Timmy Thunder. Unfortunately for Timmy, Frank was on fire. Frank somehow recovered from a devastating back stabber and pinned Thunder. Ruy Batello and crew offered consolation as they helped the disappointed youth out of the ring area.
6. Tag Team Championship: Kool People (DJ AC & Sammy Deleon, Champions) v. The Aristocrats (Tomahawk & Zachary Pierre Beaulieu). W – Kool People
This could have gone either way with such evenly matched teams. The Kool people did something cool: A tandem suplex. Too bad for Tomahawk he accidentally clocked Beaulieu as he stood on the apron. This allowed AC to pin him as he bounced off the ropes.
After the bell Beaulieu attacked Tomahawk as The Kool People laughed and laughed from the apron. Perry Von Vicious intervened and made Tomahawk a vague offer of becoming wealthy that was not quite accepted by the Native American. Not sure where this goes.
7. Shady Shay Cash v. Dan Ram Ramirez. W – Ramirez (Count Out)
This started as a Ruy Batello interview with Cash. Ramirez got involved and did not accept Shay’s apology for attacking him last month. Things got heated and Mr. Livesly called a match. As Ramirez started to get the edge, Cash left the ring area. Count out win for Ramirez.
8. The Middlesex Express (Steven Lust & Steven Broad) v. Osiris & Foxy Calvin Campbell (with Doctor Ozone). W – TME
The hottest tag team in New England would have had a real challenge had not Doctor Ozone and Campbell chosen to abandon Osiris to a double team beat down while they had what appeared to be multiple drinks at the bar. By the time Campbell finally tagged in he was apparently drunk and was immediately rolled up by Mr. Broad. Osiris was not pleased and an argument ensued between him and his colleagues as they went backstage.
9. Chris Cruise (with Amanda Fox) v. Curry Boy (with Delilah Hayden). W – Cruise
Cruise easily handles Curry Boy as Fox and Delilah fought outside the ring. Steve “The Turtle” Weiner appeared on the apron with a big red balloon in a persona unknown to us. After Curry Boy’s defeat, Delilah challenged Weiner to a match
10. 8-Man Tag Team: Sensational Scott Levesque, Tim Lennox, Mike Montero, Todd Harris v. The Lumberjake, Insane Dick Lane, Kellan Thomas, The Abominable CPA. W – Levesque, Lennox, Montero, Harris
Complete insanity. All 8 men fought with vigor. It almost ended when The Lumberjake had Harris in a small package about 7 feet in the air. As he prepared to drop the punk, Montero dove off the top rope and managed to pin The Champion.
