Match 1. Sons of Liberty Championship: Diabolical Scott Ledeur (C, with Annabel & The Maniacal Jack Krueger) v. “The Bitter Man” Buddy Romano. W – Ledeur
We never thought that mentally deranged wrestlers could make such effective seconds but Ledeur and Krueger are really helping each other out. The office gave Romano a big opportunity here after his extended absence but also put a mountain in front of him. He did well but we believe there is no beating Ledeur at the moment. He’s at the peak of his career and his seconds (including Annabel) make him unstoppable. Scott used the same move he employed to destroy Big Dawg Butler last night. He got Buddy in the corner, climbed his back, and rode him down to the ground face first followed by a pin.
Match 2. Kid Reflex Eric Dylan v. Carlos Esteban. W – Dylan
Kid Reflex makes it two nights in a row. Carlos has become a strong journeyman wrestler and was able to give Dylan more of a match than young Brito could last night. Dylan showed us what a wrestler can bring after so many years in the ring. The Kid reverses a hold, drops Carlos on his face from the top turnbuckle and deftly pins him.
Alicia Muldoon Interview
Alicia explained her absence and medical situation to the Attleboro fans. Amanda Fox entered the ring and proposed that the two team up once Muldoon is medically cleared and form a tag team to go after the title. They are both sick of the disrespect they have been given by punk Price and others. Alicia agreed. Interesting times ahead.
Match 3. Ruby Bastien v. Nature Boy Gary Gold (with John Cena Sr.) W – Gold
We admire Ruby’s spunk but perhaps he should have started off a bit lower down the opponent food chain. How smart is it to call out a Hall-of-Famer for your first match? Gary Gold and John Cena Sr. were determined to slap the taste out of the brat’s mouth. Gary was well on the way to doing so when Ruby surprised him with a substitute as per the contract that Cena Sr. should have read, S.O.G. Ronnie Ribs. Ribs inflicted some damage on Gary but ended up bailing on Ruby after the upstart accidentally hit him. Despite Ruby’s objections, Ribs adamantly refused a refund. Gary then finished Bastien with his signature Figure 4 for a quick tap.
Match 4. Heavyweight Championship: Chris Matrix (C) v. Buck Nasty. W – Matrix
Chris Matrix absorbed Nasty’s beatings through most of the match but he wouldn’t bend. Nasty became more and more frustrated as he failed to seal the deal. Matrix did the near impossible when he hefted the over 300 pound giant and slammed him on his back for the pin. Matrix showed us something tonight. We know that Ribs was watching backstage. We suspect with dismay. Look to Matrix to defend his title deep into 2018.
Match 5. Tag Team Championship Strap Match: Team #1 (C, Richie Rich & Superstar Shawn Candido) v. The Stacked Deck (Mike Montero & Chris Cruise). W – The Stacked Deck – New Champions
Like Battle Royals, it is very difficult to describe the blow-by-blow of a strap match with 4 men. It was even until Candido decided to run up the stairs and out of the building pursued by Montero. Unknown to us, Montero tied Candido up in the straps and left him there. Montero came back and The Stacked Deck double teamed Rich. Cruise dropped Montero on Richie’s chest and then they pinned him soundly. Candido wandered back in too late and too enmeshed in straps to do anything about it. The title reign of one of the strongest tag teams in New England comes to an end. Let’s see if the youngsters can hold what they’ve earned.
