Ring Announcer: Nick Diamond
Referees: Rob Roberts, Frank Rocha
Promoter: Chris Blackheart
Timekeeper: Ruby Bastein
Commissioner: Frank Rocha
Professor’s Notes: Nick Diamond, despite bronchitis, provides excellent ring announcing. The Bitter Club are the most unloved faction in New England. Sergeant Muldoon makes a point. The Commissioner resigns? A special treat seeing Puerto Rican Superstar Noriega El Que Rie Ultimo in Heavyweight contention.
Match videos will be available after 10:00 p.m EST 15 May at our YouTube channel.
Match 1. Sons of Liberty Championship: Diabolical Scott Ledeur (with Annabelle) v. Chris Cruise. W – Ledeur
The first, second, and third S.O.L. Champions and the two toughest men in SPW, duke it out once again. Both are equally skilled and apparently insensible to pain. Cruise has quickness and sneakiness as his advantages. Ledeur has madness and power. Ledeur used his head this time and applied leverage in his final pin with his feet on the ropes. Perfectly legal because it was unseen by Referee Rocha.
Match 2. Sensational Scott Levesque (with Buddy Romano & Carlos Esteban) v. Hugo Brito. W – Ledeur
Hugo somehow got Scott in a stretch in which he appeared to tap but this was unseen by Referee Roberts who was chatting with Buddy at the time. Scott then dropped the upstart on his crotch on the top rope. This set Scott up for a bulldog and pin. The Bitter Club then proceeded to stomp Hugo as was their right as victors until Cargill Vinton came to his aid.
Buddy Romano then took the mic and paid tribute to a gentleman named Ken who recently won some medals in the Special Olympics. The Bitter Club took Ken for a victory lap around the ring which ended in Buddy dumping him out of his chair onto the ground and proclaiming that the gentleman was a fake and could indeed walk. This did not go over too well with the crowd. Cargill Vinton entered and a Vinton v. Romano match ensued. (Nick Diamond announced later that each member of The Bitter Club will be subject to a $500 fine that will be given to the Special Olympics).
Match 3. Buddy Romano v. Cargill Vinton. W – Romano (DQ)
Mr. Vinton was enraged at the abuse of a disabled person and proceeded to punish Buddy Romano with ferocity. Romano gave it right back with some pain of his own. It ended when Buddy was caught in the top rope and Cargill capitalized with a figure 4. Buddy would not relent and Cargill would not let go after the 5 count expired. Referee Rocha called this a DQ for Romano.
Match 4. Heavyweight Championship: S.O.G. Ronnie Ribs (C) v. El Que Rie Ultimo (Noriega). W – Ribs
The mainland fans were treated to a look at Puerto Rican Superstar El Que Rie Ultimo, who was quite a bit bigger than The Champion. He gave it to Ribs good and somehow Ribs survived. At one point it seemed over as The Champion went to sleep but he managed to revive himself.
Ribs missed his high spot (elbow drop off the top rope) which should have ended things as Ultimo covered him for a clear three count that would have been conclusive had not Referee Roberts been molasses slow with his counts all night. Ribs quickly rolled up the Puerto Rican Superstar to keep his title. El Que Rie Ultimo shook his hand and held it up for the fans. What a sportsman he is.
Match 5. Carlos Esteban (with Buddy Romano & Scott Levesque) v. “The Punisher” Mr. Don Vega. W – Mr. Vega
Carlos’ training is paying off. He’s getting bigger and he’s learning a lot from veterans Romano and Levesque. He was able to put up a respectable resistance to one of the best in The Northeast. The turning point was when Carlos tried to sneak up on Mr. Vega with his own PR flag. Mr. Vega responded by destroying Carlos with a shoulder breaker and a pin. Of course Buddy and Scott ran in and attacked The Punisher. Hugo Brito quickly responded as did Cargill Vinton. Mr. Vega smashed a water bottle in Romano’s face. Chris Cruise tried to calm Mr. Vega with little effect. The Bitter Club were eventually escorted backstage by the officials. For some reason TBC is unpopular with most of the wrestlers in SPW these days.
Frank Rocha Steps Down as SPW Commissioner
Mr. Rocha addressed the fans, telling them that he is stepping down as SPW Commissioner to work full-time as a referee. He declined to name the new Commissioner. He didn’t say whether he knew who it was or not. He said the announcement would be made next month in Taunton.
Match 6. Main Event: Intergender Tag Team Match. Alec Price and Alicia Muldoon v. Amanda Fox and Sergeant Muldoon. W – Fox & Muldoon
This was the family grudge match of the century. Sergeant Muldoon is upset that his niece and protegé attacked him and went heel with Price. There was some good old-fashioned sadism from all four competitors. The WWF veteran showed a fire that we haven’t seen from him in years. (Rage induced no doubt). The lawman illegally handcuffed young price to a turnbuckle which gave his team a two-on-one edge. Amanda Fox put Alicia in a neck stretch which ended in a tap by Alicia. This should have been a DQ with for Price and Alicia but few fans seemed bothered by the injustice.
